Little Trappers
Oakhurst
We had a great time in Oakhurst this weekend. Thanks to all for coming out. I joined forces with some other great songwriters and we have formed a new collective group called The Creek Kin Band. Look for more good times to come!
Oakhurst Arts and Music Festival – October 8th
Trappers Cabin will be playing a the Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival this weekend. Saturday, October 8th at 5 pm I will be playing with some friends. Oakhurst is a cool little spot and if you are in town you should swing by!
Trappers Cabin, Richard Pryor and Hill Roberts
Now those are 3 crazy dudes! Had a great time in Athens at Weaver D’s! Home of great food, great people and great Richard Pryor art! REM used to play there a lot and even named an album after Weaver D’s catch phrase “Automatic” for the people! How fitting that we played there just as REM announced they are over.
Heads up Athens folks, Trappers Cabin will be rolling into town and setting up shop in front of Weaver Ds (1016 E Broad Street) on Thursday 9/29 to play some music between 6-8pm. Automatic For The People!
Free Downloads
Yipeee, we’re are jumping for joy as I’m happy to announce that I have began a free download section on my website. These will include oldies, rarities, covers and so on. Feel free to head over and start grabbing some free music. You will see it on the right hand side of the music page. Keep checking back as well because I will be adding more goodies as we go…skippidy doo doo doo!!!
MTM
I have another project called MTM. We rock out and stuff…it’s a good time. Here is a song from when we visited Athens Radio and played for them.
Harvest Time
Nice cool weather has been rolling in and it’s the best time of the year! Harvest time is just around the corner. This is a shot of the Trappers man from a harvest awhile back (wheat I believe). We had cut it down, let them sit out in the field to dry and then me and the girls (horses), drove around – scooped them up and then off to the barn to unload. It’s hard work and usually hot as hell but nothing beats it!
Oxen Love
Here is one of the beautiful oxen. Gold tipped horns and gentle as a puppy dog. Both of these boys together have incredible power and help keep the farm producing harvests which are bountiful and yummy!
